Faial Island, situated in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, in the centre of the Azores High, is bathed by the warm waters of the Golf Stream. For these reasons, the island has a mild maritime climate without great variations of temperature.

The average temperature in the summer is of 24ºC.

Often, there are showers followed by sunny periods, especially from October until April.
