Festivities

Faial is an island of traditions and festivities, which in fact take place all year long. The Holy Ghost Festivities, starting on Whit Sunday, are celebrated throughout the summertime with the same faith and commitment, therefore inviting both Azorean emigrants and tourist to experience the spirit of sharing and brotherhood.

Semana do Mar, in August, is one of the most famous summer festivals in the Azores and the largest maritime festival in the country.
